Teething, Autism and Lavendar Bath

Review Questions:
Age: 25 to 34 years old
Review Text:
My son with autism has sensory issues. His teeth are particularly sensitive and when he teeths, it’s harder than most kids. He feels pain more, in my opinion. We started using the Lavendar Bath and the Lavendar Shampoo about 3 months ago, due to his teething pain, in hopes it would help him sleep better. We had success with the Vapor Bath when he had trouble breathing due to such a badly clogged nose and we loved the results! We are “crunchy organic parents” so we were a little skeptical of these products. However, we were desperate to get our son to sleep and to have some relief with his teething pain. The first time we used the Lavendar Bath, Shampoo and Lotion was for a nap on one of his grumpy days, and he actually napped for 4 hours! We used it again that night after a messy dinner and he slept through the entire night! Every nap he has taken with the lotion on him, he sleeps long, good naps and he has been in a MUCH better mood. Every night we use the lotion he sleeps through the night. He has actually been in such a better mood lately. It’s nice seeing my son happy. I highly recommend this product. I want to caution mothers who have children that have seizures however, because multiple people who have seizures say that Lavendar can actually bring on a seizure, this goes for lavendar essential oils as well. I’m not sure if this lotion would aggravate seizures or not, maybe it wouldn’t. Just wanted to throw that out there. We are lucky in that our son with autism does not have seizures so this product has been a real blessing for us. We will continue to recommend this product to everyone, especially moms who have kids with autism or any moms who have a baby that is teething bad. We highly recommend the vapor Bath also, such a life saver. I wanted to mention, the lavendar Bath always works best when we use the lotion afterwards. Double the snoozy vibes :) :) :) Good Luck Mamas! PS not sure why BATH is capitalized by my auto correct. Ignore that.

The soap was great, but the pump on the 28oz. bottle was absolutely awful. Too hard to get enough soap while struggling with 2 wet kids and a slippery bottle.

Review Text:
The first time my boyfriend and I gave our baby a bath, we used the Johnsons and Johnsons. Which at first was fine, but then these red bumps occurred. My boyfriend and I thought it was because of dry skin, so we started to use the lotion. After we applied the lotion on him, his skin broke out a day or two later. After a while his skin turned a bit red, and started to peel off. It took about 2 weeks for his skin to get back to normal. But all in all, I believe the lavender scent may have been the cause of the reaction.

We have used J&J bath and wash since my daughter (who is now 13 months) was born. However, this weekend I bought the J&J bedtime baby moisture wash, and it resulted in her developing hives all over her body, and a trip to the Dr.'s office for us. I'm not sure what ingredient(s) is different from their other washes, but we'll be throwing the brand new bottle in the trash! We do love J&J, but I would avoid this specific wash at all costs, as this is her first allergic reaction to anything, and it's not fun for her or mom and dad!

Thank you so much for bringing this to our attention. We're so sorry to hear about your daughter's experience. You're right - it's no fun for her, mom or dad, and we are certainly sad, too. We can assure you that this is not a typical reaction to our baby washes. We're surprised by this, especially since your little one has been able to use other washes of ours successfully. We want you to know that we take these matters seriously and will be letting our safety team know about this. We'd like to provide them with some additional details and see how we can help you, so we'd appreciate it if you'd call us at 1-866-565-2229 Monday through Friday from 9am to 7pm ET. We hope you're little one is feel better soon! Thanks again. We look forward to your call.
