Burns and dries out your skin

Review Questions:
Age: 45 to 54 years old
Review Text:
I bought this a week ago and have put it on at night per the directions. Two days ago my eyes (where crows feet are) became incredibly dry and started to burn. Today my face (eyes crow feet area, under my eyes, my chin, the side crease by my nose, and the edges by the opening of my mouth (mouth edges are so dry they have cracked) is burning beyond belief and is painful. The creases are more defined than I've ever seen them. I am scared because of all of the damage that has occurred to my face from this product and the intense pain. I have been putting vitamin E on my face but even that hurts when I apply it.

What % of retinol is in your Retinol night and day creams?

Review Text:
I have used both the day and night creams over quite a few years now and originally started when my prescription Retinol cream was no longer available. I have found it to be much less harsh than the prescription cream but as I've aged my dark blemishes have faded but wrinkles have increased (I am in my 60s). Recently there has been publicity in UK regarding this type of product and advice given on what strength should be used for different situations. Unfortunately I cannot find any information on product or your website providing this. Please can you be specific as to the % retinol in each product so that I can advise friends which to use and make sure I am still using the most appropriate level for my situation.

Burns skin

Review Text:
I used the night time wrinkle cream for only two nights before the burning started. I had to wash it off immediately. It left red lines from one corner of my eyes to the other, the crows feet part. Now, the skin is drying out and flaking at the corners, but applying organic Vitamin E oil has helped tremendously. I was finally able to wear makeup today and my regular eye cream and moisturizer. The chemicals you use in this product must be very strong. I also did not know it was made by Johnson & Johnson or I never would have bought it. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Really Works!

I have been using this cream for over a year now. I am 42 and had lots of sun damage from tanning booths in my younger years. I am always mistaken for being in my 30’s. Yes, this cream does burn from time to time but it works! I use it every other day or 3 times a week. It has diminished all my sun damage and tighten my crows feet’s and prevented new wrinkles. Love this product!!!

Please inform yourself if you’re new to retinol products before using them! Everyone’s skin will reacts differently to retinol and I recommend using only once or twice a week for the first two weeks, then slowly increasing if you have not experienced any redness and irritation. This is a superior retinol cream, it is much stronger than it’s #1 drugstore brand competitor and worth every dime because retinol is the only ingredient scientifically proven to reduce wrinkles and jump start collegen reproduction. Be smart, start low and slow then slowly increase usage after your skin as had a chance to acclimate and you will start to notice a reduced appearance in fine lines and wrinkles in 4-6 weeks, then maximum benefits after 12 weeks and even further benefits after that. This is good stuff. Thanks, Roc, for a superb product that actually works!

Burning

Review Text:
I was really excited to try this product for my fine lines around my mouth from smiling. The first day I read the bottle and I saw that it said redness and irritation are normal and to continue use, I’m totally fine with that and that stuff never bothers me anyways so I used it and everything was fine. I kept using it every night for 5 nights and everything was fine but when I woke up on the sixth day my under eyes don’t feel the greatest so I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I see little red burns and a little bit of swelling. I’ve discontinued use but it is still very painful. It feels like I have been laying out in the sun for 3 days and have gotten a very bad sunburn. It’s affected my under eyes, outer corners of my eyes, part of my cheeks, and up to my temple. It hurts to shower, touch, and put anything on it to try and help it. I definitely can’t use makeup to cover up the red burns because it’s too painful to put on and take off.
