The No-Fail Healthy Winter Skin Care Packing List

Share

Experienced travelers know two things: Skin suffers on chilly travel days…and multi-tasking products are the key to traveling light. A third thing they know? Mistakes are not an option when you’re on a tight timetable (and winter weather delays loom large). Check out our no-fail list below, and then download a copy for your upcoming winter trip. You got this!

Winter packing checklist

Choose two-in-one (or three-in-one!) products whenever possible
Multi-use products are the real unsung heroes of the holiday season. Look for two-in-one shampoos and conditioners, a body cleanser that can double as shave gel, a foldable brush with a mirror attached on the handle, or multi-use skincare products like petroleum jelly, wipes or cotton swabs.

Don’t forget…
❏    A body wash that cleanses and moisturizes, such as AVEENO® Daily Moisturizing Body Wash
❏    Facial wipes that remove makeup, dirt and oil, like Neutrogena® Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes
❏    Foldable brush with mirror attached to handle
❏    Petroleum jelly, cotton swabs & pads
❏    A facial moisturizer with SPF included, like Neutrogena® Healthy Defense® Daily Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30

Rinse, lather — don’t repeat
Shampooing every day can strip the scalp of those much-essential natural oils. Instead, wash hair three times a week at most. Not only will this help keep your mane healthy, it will save you toiletry space, budget, and the time investment required for blow-drying wet hair day after day. (Seriously. Reclaim your life.) On “off” days, use a dry shampoo: a hair powder that cleanses hair and its roots from oil!

Don’t forget…
❏    2-in-1 shampoo
❏    Dry shampoo

Winter vacation packing list

Save space by staying smart
Rather than multiple types of hand & body lotion, bring only one travel size bottle of intensive lotion for maximum skin protection to take up minimal space in your bag. Pack small items (like lip balm and disposable razors) together in a small bundle to keep things compact, and wrap bottles individually in plastic wrap to contain leaks or spills. Finally, consider carrying on your smaller cosmetics rather than checking them—they may be less likely to burst or leak on your carefully packed clothes.

Don’t forget…
An intensive moisturizer like Neutrogena® Norwegian Formula® Moisture Wrap Daily Repair Body Treatment
Lip balm with SPF like Neutrogena® Norwegian Formula® Lip Moisturizer
Disposable razors
Cosmetics

Additional tips for success:
●    Travel size containers can be purchased at your local drugstore to hold smaller portions of body washes and 2-in-1 hair care products
●    If you’ve got leftover (unopened) travel-sized toiletry products from your hotel stay, consider donating them to a local women and children’s center or homeless shelter! For more ways to do good in our world, visit: HealthyEssentials.com/community-and-caring

Enjoy your trip!
