6 Time-Saving Beauty Hacks for Busy Moms on the Go

Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom, a working mom, or a combination of the two, there’s a 100-percent chance that you’re really busy! Efficiency is a mom’s best friend; the more you can accomplish in a tight time frame, the better.

Beauty hacks for busy moms

To help you shave some serious time and effort off your morning routine, we’ve put together six simple morning beauty hacks for moms. We hope they will help you save time and stay efficient, while being able to look and feel your best.

#1: Plan Ahead

Plan your outfit the night before

While it seems obvious that it’s wise to prepare the night before, it’s always easy to do. However, ten minutes of prep at night - when your brain is still running at full speed - can save you time in the morning. Here are a few simple things that you can prepare the night before:
●    Set out work essentials
●    Lay out beauty products/tools
●    Choose your outfit
●    Set out breakfast tools, utensils
●    Put lunches in bags in the fridge
●    Place keys, wallet & purse together

#2: Hydrate

Drink water before coffee

Fact: water is critical to all of your body’s functions. Coffee might feel like it gives your brain a jump-start, but it actually dehydrates your system. So while it’s tempting to run straight to the coffee maker for a pick-me-up, make yourself start the day with a cold glass of water. You can drink it with breakfast, while doing your hair or makeup, or even in the shower. Water will help you get sharp more quickly, and get right into your day.

#3: Rock Out

Morning shower playlist

It’s easy to lose track of time and slow down in the shower, when you finally get those few stolen moments to yourself. Our favorite solution? Create a five-minute playlist on your smartphone, and press play as you jump in the shower! When the last song ends, you know it’s time to get out and face the day. Pick tunes that wake you up, excite you and put you in a great mood.

Bonus tip: use shower products with invigorating scents to stimulate your brain. We love Neutrogena® Body Clear® Body Wash in pink grapefruit.

#4: Shave Smart

Use baby oil to shave

Who has time for shaving and moisturizing? If that’s rarely you, we have a solution. Save time by eliminating the extra step, using baby oil to shave. Baby oil will nourish your skin and keep it from drying out, so that you can shave and go. We recommend JOHNSON’S® baby oil gel with shea & cocoa butter, because it locks in up to 10 times more moisture on wet skin than an ordinary lotion can on dry skin!

#5: Mix It Up

Mix foundation with moisturizer

Speaking of moisture, you can cut down on steps moisturizing your face, too! If you use a makeup that hydrates or tinted moisturizer, you won’t need to put on moisturizer and wait for it to dry before applying your foundation. We recommend Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Hydrating Tint.

Alternatively, you can mix your foundation with a light moisturizer at a 1:1 ratio to create a tint that will apply evenly. AVEENO® POSITIVELY RADIANT® Daily Moisturizer is lightweight and has the added bonus of broad spectrum SPF 30.

#6: Save Your Stockings

How to fix stockings

When you’re running around to get everything and everyone safely out the door, it’s inevitable that you’ll snag stockings. Whether it’s a piece of jewelry, a toy or that little rough spot on the counter that you keep forgetting to deal with – runs happen, but you can protect your nylons against them! Here’s the trick: apply a light coat of hairspray to the entire surface of your tights. This time-tested tip strengthens fibers and minimizes those irritating runs.

We hope these time-saving morning beauty hacks can help you get on with your busy day!
